Habitat relies on donations of money from individuals, businesses, other charitable organizations, governmental entities and others to support its activities. A donation in any amount is greatly appreciated!

Donations to Habitat are tax-deductible unless otherwise specified. All donations will be acknowledged with a written receipt issued by Habitat.
HopeBuilders
Join our monthly giving program for as little as $5.00 a month. For the price of a gourmet coffee drink, you can help end poverty housing and homelessness in our area, and provide working families with the opportunity to move into a permanent, affordable home. Gifts from the Heart
Are you looking for a special gift for your spouse, or the in-law, grandparent, aunt, uncle or friend who has everything? Then consider giving an extraordinary gift that will keep on giving – give a Gift from the Heart. A Gift from the Heart is a financial gift you make to Habitat in the name or in honor of another. For as little as $25.00, Habitat will send your honoree a beautiful card indicating that a gift has been made to Habitat in his/her name. Celebrate the next birthday, retirement, graduation, wedding, anniversary or new birth in your family or among your circle of friends by sending a special gift, one that will benefit a deserving family – and their children – for years to come.
Gifts from the Heart may be made online, or by mail or fax request. Please be sure to designate that you want to make a “Gift from the Heart”, and provide us with your honoree’s first and last names and mailing address. All Gifts from the Heart donations are tax deductible.
Land/Property Donations
Land/Real Property
Finding affordable land to build on – or real property to renovate/rehabilitate – is one of our greatest challenges. Acquiring land to build on is often one of the most expensive elements of building a home. Any time Habitat can secure land or property for no cost – or at a substantially reduced price – it helps us keep our costs low, so we can keep our mortgages affordable for deserving families.
By making a charitable donation of land or real property to Habitat, you will help ensure that another working family in our area will have access to permanent, affordable housing. Help us reach our goal of twenty (20) completed homes by 2015 – donate your land or real property to Habitat today! Donations may be deductible as a charitable contribution – please consult your tax advisor or accountant about the benefits that may be available to you.

Other Property
Habitat gratefully accepts donations of other property, including:
- Stock/mutual funds
- Life insurance proceeds
- Gift annuities
Please contact your financial advisor or accountant to discuss the various ways you can donate property to Habitat, and the benefits there may be to you in doing so.
Material/Labor Donations
Habitat relies on donations of goods and services to keep its operating and project costs as low as possible. Donations of building materials and labor help us keep the cost of our homes as low as possible, which results in lower mortgages for our homeowners! Donations of other materials and services to Habitat can help by enabling us to keep our operating costs low, which allows us to dedicate more of our resources to building homes for working families in need!
Habitat is always looking for people skilled in the construction trades to assist with its home build projects. If you are a general contractor, a carpenter, plumber, electrician or have other skills that may be useful on a home build, we would love to work with you! Please visit our volunteer page for more information. We also welcome donations of other professional services, including photography, printing, design and legal services.
Habitat also accepts donated goods and materials. Depending on the quality and type of material in question, building materials (including lumber, roofing and insulation, fixtures and appliances), whether solicited or unsolicited, may be incorporated as part of our new home builds. For the first time, we are also now accepting donations of certain select items – including furniture and other items – that may not be needed or meet our criteria for use in new construction. These items will be warehoused by Habitat, and will either be donated to one of our existing homeowners or another non-profit organization or sold to the general public to raise money for our affiliate. Please contact us if you have materials or goods you would like to donate to Habitat!

Good Search/Good Shop
Do you regularly search or shop using the Internet? Then put your time – or your dollars – to good use in supporting Habitat! Sign-up today for the Yahoo! powered Good Search and Good Shop services, and identify “Habitat for Humanity of Summit and Wasatch Counties” as your designated charity.
After that, whenever you “Good Search”, approximately a penny for each search you perform will be donated to Habitat. Whenever you “Good Shop” online, a portion of your total purchase will be donated to Habitat. Support Habitat by simply doing what you already do every day!

Cars for Homes
Tired of that old clunker sitting in your driveway or taking up space in your garage? It’s time to finally get rid of it by contributing it to a worthy cause!
By donating to Habitat’s Cars for Homes™ vehicle donation program, you will help Habitat build and rehabilitate houses in partnership with families who need a “hand up”, not a “hand out”.
Cars for Homes is a quick and easy way to recycle your used cars (or your used trucks, boats, RVs, motorcycles, construction equipment or other vehicles), whether they run or not! The best part is, if you itemize on your tax return, you may be eligible for a deduction! (Consult your tax advisor or accountant, or the IRS, for details.)
